Collaborative Efforts to Foster Talent Development in the Biotechnology Field

At 14:00 on December 2, 2025, Shenyang Medical University and Belarusian Politechnic University successfully held an inter-university cooperation symposium via online platform. Representatives from Shenyang Medical University, including Tian Haijun (Director of International Exchange and Cooperation), Sun Hongyan (Deputy Director), Wang Hongbo (Deputy Director), Feng Deri (Head of Biology Department), and Wang Baishi (Deputy Head), joined Belarusian counterparts such as Natalya Aksenchik (Director of International Affairs) and Vitaliy Chechev (Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology) in virtual discussions to explore new collaboration frameworks.
During the meeting, both parties first introduced the development history, distinctive educational features, and core strengths of their respective institutions. Shenyang Medical University focused on presenting an overview of its Department of Biology, along with its teaching and research capabilities and achievements in talent cultivation. Meanwhile, Bolesee National University shared highlights in disciplinary development and international cooperation experiences from its School of Biotechnology.
During the core negotiation session, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the 4+0 Biotechnology Undergraduate Dual Degree Cooperative Education Program, exchanging views on key issues such as curriculum design, teaching standards, and degree conferral. Additionally, preliminary communications were conducted on other potential collaboration areas, including academic exchanges and research cooperation, with both parties demonstrating strong willingness and proactive determination to advance the partnership.
This meeting established an efficient communication bridge between the two institutions and laid a solid foundation for the implementation of future cooperative education programs. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication post-meeting, accelerating the advancement of collaborative education initiatives, and jointly cultivating biotechnology professionals who meet international demands through resource sharing and complementary strengths. This collaboration will inject new momentum into educational exchanges and industry development between the two countries.
