Exploring Shenyang’s Industrial Vibes &
Local Liaoning Flavors
—International Students Take Part in 2026 Shenyang Snow Beer International Carnival.

International students from the School of International Education visited to Fengtian Factory Cultural and Creative Park in Tiexi District for the 2026 Shenyang Snow Beer International Carnival. This fun field trip offered them a great chance to explore Shenyang’s industrial history, local intangible cultural heritage and tasty regional food, enabling lively cross-cultural communication.

Walking around the park, students admired well-kept old factory relics and experienced the city’s industrial legacy. They enjoyed energetic stage shows and tried DIY beer-bottle-cap fridge magnets at the intangible-culture experience area.

They also feasted on classic Northeastern specialties including Shenyang chicken skewers and Jinzhou grilled treats, getting a taste of down-to-local-life Liaoning food culture. Some students were interviewed by Shenyang TV, where they shared their impressions of living and studying in Shenyang.

The students described the activity as a memorable cultural getaway. Away from classroom textbooks, they gained real-world insight into Shenyang’s history and city charm, and took lots of photos to mark their experience.
The School of International Education regularly organizes such cultural activities for overseas students to deepen their understanding of Chinese local culture. More off-campus events will be held in future, encouraging international students to be youth messengers for China-foreign friendship.
