Nine teachers from the School of International Education of Shenyang Medical College and 12 students from five countries including Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe and India recently entered Fengze Community, Shashan Street, Shenyang City to participate in Lei Feng learning activities. Zhang Rufeng, the deputy director of the Clinical Teaching Experiment Center and the "Most Beautiful Shenyang Person", was invited as an expert for free medical consultation to participate in this event.

The event was divided into three sessions: "Health Knowledge Quiz with Prizes", art performances and free medical consultations. The entire process was rich, colorful and fascinating, and was warmly welcomed by the community residents. Jiang Ping, an international student from Pakistan, interacted enthusiastically with the community residents together with the hosts from other institutions. The Indian dance and the song "Sweetness" carefully arranged by the students brought waves of climaxes to the event.

Haris, a student from Pakistan, said: "Learning from Lei Feng means helping others and serving the people. Although I'm a foreigner, the Lei Feng Spirit has no borders. I hope that when I become a doctor in the future, I can also help more patients and pass on the Lei Feng Spirit!"

Bandi, a student from Zimbabwe, expressed his willingness to become an ambassador of friendship between China and foreign countries, helping more people to understand the real China, perceive China, and fall in love with China.

Student volunteers entering the community is a two-way pursuit that students and community residents experience, crossing the generation gap and cultural differences. Students practice voluntary service actions and convey positive social energy, deepening the community residents' understanding and knowledge of medical knowledge. They are both practitioners and disseminators, promoting exchanges and cooperation among people of all countries living under the same sky, and inheriting and carrying forward the fine tradition of international student volunteers of the School of International Education of Shenyang Medical College serving the society.
