On June 15, 2024, the fourth walking conference of Shenyang Metropolitan Area and the sixth Shenyang International Fitness Walking Festival were grandly held in Shenyang Expo Garden. Among the numerous participants, the international students from our school became a beautiful scenery. With full enthusiasm and positive attitude, they integrated into this feast of national fitness.
As the starting gun fired, the international students set off with vigorous strides. Along the way, they were full of laughter and had friendly exchanges with the citizens around them, sharing the happiness brought by hiking. They greeted the citizens in fluent Chinese, introduced their own countries and cultures, and showed a good spiritual outlook and enthusiasm for cross-cultural exchanges.
In order to keep the beautiful Shenyang forever in memory. On the occasion of being invited to participate in this walking festival, the College of International Education specially formed a participating team composed of more than 40 international students of grade 2018 who are about to graduate. Many of them have just returned to the school from abroad and excitedly participated in this activity. During the hiking process, the international students not only appreciated the beautiful scenery of the Shenyang Expo Garden, but also felt the unique charm and profound historical and cultural heritage of Shenyang. They all said that this activity made them understand and love Shenyang more deeply. The beautiful Shenyang will always be engraved in their deepest memories.
The international student from South Sudan Qingxing said excitedly and thankfully, "This is my first time participating in such an activity. I am very happy. The air here is very good and the scenery is also very beautiful." And Mathew, an international student from Nigeria, said, "This is Shenyang's walking festival. We international students are very glad to spend this festival with everyone. I came here in 2018 and have lived here for six years. Shenyang is a beautiful city. We have already followed local customs here."
This activity is not just a simple hiking journey, but also a vibrant exchange and a passionate collision of diverse cultures. The international students of Shenyang Medical College have added a resplendent hue to the Shenyang International Walking Conference with their enthusiasm and vitality, just as they have added a touch of warmth with their smiles and a sense of harmony with their friendliness. They have truly written a remarkable chapter for promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Just as the international students declared, Shenyang is their second hometown. They will preserve the beautiful memories of Shenyang eternally, and will repay their beloved alma mater and the charming city of Shenyang with noble medical ethics, with superb medical skills and with unwavering dedication!
