Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, and his wife visit Shenyang Medical College

   To further deepen international education exchanges and cooperation, on September 25th, Khalil Hashmi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to China,Marium Mahmood,the Ambassadress,Ayesha Saeed, the Counsellor of the Embassy of Pakistan in China, and Rabbia Nasir, the Second-tier Secretary, visited our school in Shenyang to participate in the 5th China Liaoning International Investment and Trade Fair, Liaoning International Friendship City Trade Matchmaking Negotiation Activity, and the first International Friendship City Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference. Ren Fu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Wu Yudong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, had a cordial meeting with Ambassador Khalil Hashmiand and his wife in the first conference room of Zhiyuan Building. Guo Lingjun, Director of the Foreign Affairs Management Department of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, and the heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department and the International Education School of our college attended the meeting. The two sides held friendly consultations and talks on China Pakistan higher education exchanges and cooperation under the "the Belt and Road" initiative.




     Secretary Ren Fu warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and his delegation for their visit to our school. He emphasized the school's internationalization development strategy and the achievements made in studying abroad in China in recent years. Secretary Ren Fu emphasized that since 2004, Shenyang Medical College has been one of the earliest in China to carry out study abroad education, committed to providing high-quality medical education resources and learning environment for international students from all over the world, and striving to cultivate medical talents with international vision and competitiveness. The school attaches great importance to the quality of teaching management and humanistic care of international students. With the long-term strong support of the Pakistani Embassy in China, our school has successively recruited more than 800 Pakistani international students. In recent years, the number of Pakistani international students has increased year by year. At present, there are nearly 400 Pakistani students in school. After returning to China, graduates have made important contributions to improving the health level of their own people, and further enhanced the profound friendship between the people of China and Pakistan. Secretary Ren Fu pointed out that the visit of Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and his wife to our university is of great significance for deepening exchanges and cooperation in the field of higher education between China and Pakistan, and will effectively promote high-level and multidimensional cooperation between the two countries in medical education, talent cultivation, and other areas. It is believed that with the joint efforts of the two governments and people from all walks of life, the two sides will continue to work together to deepen in-depth cooperation in medical teaching and research, talent training and other fields, and make greater contributions to enhancing the friendship and well-being of the people of China and Pakistan.

      Ambassador Khalil Hashmi highly praised the important role of Chinese higher education in promoting the friendship between Pakistan and China, fully affirmed the achievements and contributions of Shenyang Medical College in the field of studying abroad education in China over the years, and expressed gratitude for the work done by Shenyang Medical College for Pakistani international students. He expressed his hope to take this visit as an opportunity to actively build a higher level and wider range of exchange and cooperation platforms, further expand exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of medical education, carry out teacher-student visits and Sino foreign cooperative education projects, and make greater contributions to enhancing the internationalization level of education between the two countries and deepening the friendship between Pakistan and China.


                                                 



     After the meeting, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and his delegation visited some Pakistani international students at our university to understand their learning and living conditions during their stay in China.
